Ramping up to AS3

ActionScript 3.0 is absolutely awesome. I have taken on a new position at ClickMotive recently that focuses on UI with Flash and AS3 exclusively. I’m still getting my feet wet with the new language but so far I love it and can’t wait until I fully grasp the power of it. I feel like I’m so far behind the guys I’m working with but the group is one of the brightest bunch of guys I’ve worked with to date. I’m confident that I’ll get it down and am just enjoying the opportunity I have. As soon as I have a better understanding of the language I plan on posting my experiences with it, I’m already finding things I love and others I’m not so keen on. Overall though it’s a huge improvement over AS2 and seems to have really grown up as a language.

Exciting times! More to come…

Foldera Public Beta

I just received an email from Shane Belovsky over at Foldera about the public beta becoming available! If you haven’t heard of Foldera here is a blurb from their website.

I have my login and am playing around with the software…after a week or so I’ll drop my opinion.

Adobe AIR Bus Tour : Dallas

It looks like the AIR Bus Tour is coming to Dallas. I’ve already registered and I know a few friends are likely to hit it up too. It’s from 6pm to 10pm so we will likely hit up Trinity Hall which is right next door before or after for a few drinks.
